Visit of Hon. Rohitha Bogollagama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Japan, June 26 to 29 2007.

Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama met with the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Taro Aso on Wednesday June 27 at Ikura House in Tokyo during his official visit to Japan. During the bilateral meeting the two Ministers discussed issues of mutual interest.Minister Bogollagama visited Japan on the invitation of the Japanese Government. The Forum was attended by over 100 Japanese investors, potential investors and businessmen. Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama attended a luncheon meeting hosted by Mr. Minoru Murofushi, Chairman of the Japan-Sri Lanka Business Cooperation Committee (JSLBCC) on Friday June 29 in Tokyo. The luncheon Meeting was attended by the officials of the Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Japanese Members of the Japan Sri Lanaka Business cooperation Committee and potential Japanese investors and Importers. Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama delivered a lecture on LTerrorism and the Regional Economies: Sri LankaLs ExperienceL at a lecture forum organized by the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) on Thursday June 28 at Hotel Okura in Tokyo. The forum was attended by Diet members, members of the diplomatic corps, former Ambassadors of Japan in Sri Lanka, academics, bureaucrats, policymakers, NGO workers and other friends of Sri Lanka.
